There’s nothing that isn’t inspiring about comic books aside from a narrow view of their purpose or possibility. — Ming Doyle
I first discovered the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as most did in the 80s and 90s with the Fred Wolf cartoons. I can remember going to see the live action films in the theater with two of my childhood friends. I later discovered the Mirage comics which were my favorite incarnation of the Turtles. I really enjoyed to first few seasons of the 4Kids cartoon that was launched in 2003 because most of the stories were pulled from the Mirage comics. When IDW started publishing their new TMNT comic book series, I was happy to see the influence of the original comics. The IDW Turtles quickly became my favorite iteration of the Turtles. I decided to start comparing the two timelines and those reviews are being published here at CrossoverComics.ca, a website devoted to comic books run by three of my friends.
